<br /> President Trump said Friday he plans to go ahead with tariffs on $50 billion of Chinese imports.<br />Reuters reports that Beijing immediately said that it will respond identically.<br />Trump listed 800 imports that would be subject to a 25 percent tariff starting July 6.<br />China said it would respond with tariffs “of the same scale and strength."<br />Trump said in a statement that the US will pursue additional tariffs if China retaliates. <br />
